Madrona Hill Cafe is a cozy neighborhood bakery and cafe in Northeast Portland, open daily from 6 am to 3 pm,  including most holidays. We serve exceptional coffee, made-to-order sandwiches, soup, salad, and fresh-baked pastries.

We're passionate about great coffee and warm hospitality. We move fast and work hard, but always make time to chat with our customers and connect with our community.

A Day in the Life:

Our days are full of sizzling bacon, prepping sandwiches, pouring lattes, and baking cookies, all while maintaining a cozy and friendly space for our customers. If you take pride in your work, have a friendly spirit, and can keep up with a fast pace, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role:

• Barista or food service experience
• Food prep and sandwich assembly
• Deliver warm, welcoming service
• Advise customers knowledgeably on menu items
• Maintain cafe  cleanliness and safety standards
• Balance multiple tasks and customer needs with ease

You Are:

• Friendly, organized, and quick to smile
• Calm under pressure with a good sense of humor
• Self-motivated and reliable with a strong work ethic
• Detail-oriented and observant
• Comfortable with cash handling and till balancing
• Able to lift 25 lbs overhead (occasionally up to 50 lbs)
• Able to stand throughout your shift
• Reliable and punctual with transportation
• Holder of a valid Multnomah County Food Handler Card
